GMIN is a 501 (C) 3 registered nonprofit organization founded by energetic and dedicated individuals who want to see changes made from a grassroot level who support and initiate sustainable, social and environmental changes in Nepal. GMIN uses local knowledge and collective intelligence to address the pressing issues of Nepalese society. GMIN has chapters in New York, Nepal, UK and Hong Kong.
- We work primarily to provide access to education for students in rural parts of Nepal that need it the most.
- We work to empower girls and women in Nepalese society by granting scholarships to more girls and by launching women empowerment programs.
- We take a pride in being a volunteer based transparent and sustainable organization which maintains a start-up culture that allows us to quickly adapt and innovate.
EducationWith our goal of 'One School at a Time', we identify existing schools with poor infrastructure and renovate/reconstruct to create bigger, better and brighter classrooms.
